Job Qualification Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of verifiable professional experience in equipment maintenance, small-engine repair, automotive repair, diesel mechanics, heavy equipment maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a closely related field.
Experience with an established equipment repair company, automotive repair facility, construction company, landscaping company, equipment rental company, fleet maintenance operation, facilities-management company, or similar professional organization is preferred.

Corporation is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Equipment, Automotive & Maintenance Technician to perform inspection, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, servicing, and mechanical work on landscaping equipment, small engines, generators, vehicles, heavy equipment, and other company machinery.
The position requires broad mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, power equipment, and mechanical components. The employee may also perform welding, fabrication, electrical troubleshooting, equipment installation, and general mechanical maintenance.
The successful candidate must be capable of working independently, diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, determining appropriate repair procedures, safely operating tools and diagnostic equipment, and maintaining company equipment in reliable operating condition.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect, diagnose, maintain, service, repair, and overhaul gasoline and diesel-powered equipment and machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of company vehicles, landscaping equipment, generators, and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and repair small engines, including engines used in brush cutters, weed trimmers, lawn mowers, blowers, pressure washers, generators, and other power equipment.
- Troubleshoot fuel systems, carburetors, ignition systems, spark plugs, air-intake systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, starting systems, and other small-engine components.
- Repair and replace belts, pulleys, bearings, blades, cables, filters, hoses, fuel lines, batteries, starters, alternators, and other mechanical components.
- Diagnose and repair lawn mowers, brush cutters, trimmers, blowers, generators, pressure washers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Perform engine tune-ups, oil and filter changes, adjustments, cleaning, lubrication, and other preventive maintenance procedures.
- Diagnose and repair automotive engines, transmissions, drivetrain components, cooling systems, fuel systems, braking systems, suspension components, steering components, and other vehicle systems as qualified.
- Perform vehicle inspections and identify mechanical problems before equipment failure occurs.
- Perform transmission servicing, removal and installation, component replacement, adjustments, and related repairs when required.
- Diagnose automotive electrical and starting/charging system problems, including batteries, starters, alternators, wiring, switches, fuses, relays, and related components.
- Maintain and repair heavy equipment and machinery, including construction, grounds-maintenance, and material-handling equipment.
- Inspect hydraulic systems, hoses, fittings, pumps, cylinders, belts, bearings, and other heavy-equipment components and perform repairs within the employee's qualifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and determine whether equipment requires repair, replacement, adjustment, or additional diagnostic testing.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical repair on equipment, machinery, vehicles, buildings, and other company property as assigned and within applicable qualifications.
- Install, repair, replace, and troubleshoot wiring, switches, outlets, connectors, lights, batteries, motors, and other electrical components where permitted.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, fabrication, and metal repair work using appropriate welding and fabrication equipment.
- Fabricate or repair brackets, frames, guards, supports, equipment components, gates, and other metal items as required.
